Who I Follow
  • Heran: Ooooh what're you looking at?
  • Me: Phones. I need a new phone.
  • Heran: Get the iPhone 5! I'm getting one!
  • Me: No, it's expensive with the data plans and other stuff.
  • Heran: It's $40 extra on your family plan.
  • Me: Too bad I'm separating from my family plan. It'll be $80.
  • Heran: Let's get a plan together.
  • Me: And start a family?
  • Heran: YEAH!

University Health Services/Tang Center is running a relationship advice column on this Tumblr. Send in your questions (they’re completely anonymous!) and our baristas Nicky and Clarissa (who are also Cal students) will answer them every Thursday. They don’t necessarily have to be about romantic relationships—they can be about hooking up, dealing with roommate issues, family relationships, any type of relationship at all!

Follow the blog to stay updated! :)

I just submitted my question and I’m looking forward to reading the answer!

:(

I should be unpacking from my trip from back home.

I should be packing for my trip to Big Bear tomorrow.

But I am doing neither and am on tumblr, facebook, and email.

I’m just really tired and I wish I was back at home.

I don’t think I’ve ever been homesick so quick. Especially since I was just at home earlier today.

So I bought a new pair of knee high boots last week because because I’ve been wanting a pair for quite some time. I gave them to Guy yesterday so he can bring to Riverside later this week since its not like I’m going to fly a box of boots down.

When he got home, he texts me “my mom wants your boots.” I tell him “hell no I got those boots for a reason.” I told my mom and she’s like “how tall is she?” and I tell her around the same height as me then she goes “that’s perfect, they’re bound to fit her too.”

Then I remembered it is his mom’s birthday in 2 days and I ask my mom if I should get her something and she’s like “oh you can give her those boots haha.”

‘twas a fun hike indeed. especially with all the wilderness shots lol

Green Pedestrian Crossing created by Jody Xiong

The China Environmental Protection Foundation developed an outdoor campaign, displayed on the street, to creatively promote this message. They decided to leverage a busy pedestrian crossing; a place where both pedestrians and drivers meet.

The campaign involved laying a canvas 12.6 metres long by 7 metres wide on the ground, thus covering the pedestrian crossing with a large leafless tree. On either side of the road, beneath the traffic lights, were placed sponge cushions soaked in green, environmentally friendly, washable paint. As pedestrians walked towards the crossing, they stepped on the green sponge, thus leaving green foot imprints on the canvas of the tree. Each ‘green’ footprint on the canvas looked like leaves growing on a bare tree, which made people feel that by walking they could create a greener environment.

The ‘Green Pedestrian Crossing’ was carried out across 7 thoroughfares in Shanghai. The campaign was then extended to 132 roads across 15 cities in China, with a participation exceeding 3,920,000 people.

If I do move somewhere closer to the beach…where I’m far away from the desert, I will consider buying an underwater case for my camera so when I do go out to the sea, I’ll be able to share my underwater experience.

I’ve made a goal to try all water sports by the end of this year when I graduate from UCR. So far I’ve tried snorkeling, surfing, skim boarding and boogie boarding. Next up is kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, and potentially wakeboarding and tubing! I’m just really excited for next year :)
